Regular Season Round 3: Storm - Tigrillos 88-91

A very close game took place in San Andres Island between Tigrillos and Storm. Tigrillos (2-1) got a very close victory on the road over Storm (1-3). Tigrillos managed to escape with a 3-point win 91-88 on Friday evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tigrillos made 8 blocks. It was a great evening for Dominican guard Gelvis Solano (185-94, college: Merrimack) who led his team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!) and 6 assists. American forward Wesley Van Beck (191-96, college: Houston) helped adding 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Dominican forward Rich Polanco (203-97, college: S.Dakota) with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 17 rebounds and Dominican Jaison Colome (190-96) scored 18 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tigrillos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Storm will play against Sabios (#4) and hope to win that game.
