An interesting game for Santa Ana (10-4) which hosted in Santa Ana 4th ranked Cojute (8-6). Third ranked Santa Ana had an easy win 121-82. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Cojute. Santa Ana dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Cojute's 50. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Santa Ana players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of center Marc Montavious (206-90, college: Georgetown, KY) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists and Eddie Ishman (196-86, college: Miles) who added 21 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest. Five Santa Ana players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Andravious Smith (196-95, college: Tougaloo) with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 21 rebounds and Shahmel Brackett (183-91, college: UNCP) scored 22 points and 9 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Santa Ana have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with San Salvador. Cojute at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost.
