The most exciting game of round 6 in the Liga Nacional took place in Concepcion. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd ranked Espanol de Talca (3-3) to first ranked Universidad de Concepcion (5-1) 75-73 on Sunday evening. International guard Diego Silva (186-93) scored 26 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Eduardo Marechal (186-85) chipped in 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Gianncarlo Caraboni (-90) with 26 points and Pablo Barraza (184-94) scored 18 points. Universidad de Concepcion maintains first position with 5-1 record. Espanol de Talca at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Los Leones. Universidad de Concepcion are looking forward to face Los Leones (#4) in Quilpue in the next round.
