Regular Season Round 18: Cocodrilos - Brillantes 80-58

Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Caracas: Cocodrilos (#2) and Brillantes (#8). Cocodrilos (13-3) smashed visiting Brillantes (3-13) by 22 points 80-58. Cocodrilos players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for forward Jovanni Diaz (203-90) who led his team to a victory with 12 points. Forward Kelvin Caraballo (198-88) contributed with 8 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Cocodrilos' coach Nelson Solorzano felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Neill Ojeda (190-91) replied with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and international swingman Raymond Rada (194-97) added 16 points in the effort for Brillantes. Cocodrilos maintains second position with 13-3 record having just three points less than leader Spartans. Brillantes lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 13 games lost.
