San Salvador upset Santa Ana to take the lead. San Salvador outrebounded Santa Ana 43-32 including 34 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for San Salvador especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.7 percentage. American-Puerto Rican forward Julian Torres (206-97, college: LSUA) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and American forward Nigel Grant (201, college: UNCP, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 24 points and 11 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Four San Salvador players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Ron Lawton (196-95, college: NMHU) responded with 31 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import center Marc Montavious (206-90, college: Georgetown, KY) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 15 rebounds and 6 blocks.
