Regular Season Round 5: Huellas - San Lazaro 108-84

TBS round 5 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader San Lazaro (5-2) against sixth ranked Huellas (4-3) 108-84 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of San Lazaro. Huellas made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. American forward Jonathan Holton (202-91, college: WVU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import Jordan Williams (198-92, college: N.Texas) contributed with 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Huellas players scored in double figures. Guard Oscar Cabrera (193-95, college: Daytona St.) answered with 15 points and 5 assists and American-Puerto Rican swingman Justin Reyes (193-95, college: STAC) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for San Lazaro. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Huellas moved-up to fourth place, which they share with San Carlos. San Lazaro at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Mauricio Baez who have the same record.
