Regular Season Round 2: San Marcos - Anfy 57-52

Anfy was upset in San Marcos by San Marcos 57-52. San Marcos forced 24 Anfy turnovers. Strangely Anfy outrebounded San Marcos 56-42 including a 42-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Sofia Alfaro (152-3) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and Paola Campos (165-1) supported her with 14 points. San Marcos' coach used entire bench in such tough game. Even a double-double of 13 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists by Teresita Candelas (166-89) did not help to save the game for Anfy. Point guard Andrea Garcia (159-98) added 11 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. San Marcos will play against Quequeisque in San Salvador in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Anfy will have a break next round.
