Santa Tecla celebrated LMB Apertura title. They stormed past San Salvador in the fourth game of the championship series to capture the trophy. The game without a history. Santa Tecla led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Santa Tecla outrebounded San Salvador 47-28 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Puerto Rican forward Owens Perez (203-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and Cuban Lisvan Valdez (196-88) who added 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side naturalized American point guard Roberto Martinez (185-91, college: OLLU) responded with 21 points and American-Puerto Rican forward Julian Torres (206-97, college: LSUA) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
