Regular Season Round 36: GELP - Dep Viedma 81-94

The game in La Plata was quite interesting. Second ranked Dep Viedma (14-4) played at the court of 6th ranked GELP (9-7). Dep Viedma defeated GELP 94-81 on Thursday. Dep Viedma made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Brazilian swingman Ayan Carvalho (196-97, college: Temple) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Matias Eidintas (186-95) who added 22 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Pablo Alderete (198-93) with 21 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and swingman Marcos Risso (190-1) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four GELP players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dep Viedma keeps a position of league leader. GELP lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with seven games lost. Dep Viedma are looking forward to face Rivadavia (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. GELP will play against Villa Mitre (#3) in Bahia Blanca and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
