Regular Season Round 5: Se7en - Itexsal 53-67

Undefeated Se7en (2-1) recorded its first loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by thirteenth ranked Itexsal (1-3) 67-53. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Se7en. Itexsal forced 25 Se7en turnovers. Strangely Se7en outrebounded Itexsal 45-33 including 31 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Se7en's players. Guard Maria Garcia (156-5) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 assists and 6 steals for the winning side and forward Karla Barquero (172-5) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Itexsal players scored in double figures. Guard Alessandra Flores (-4) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and guard Rhina Moran (170-0) added 5 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Se7en in the defeat. Se7en's coach rotated thirteen players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Itexsal left bottom position moving up to ninth place. Newly promoted Se7en dropped to the sixth position with one game lost. Itexsal will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Se7en will play against the league's second-placed Bulldogs (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
