Regular Season Round 37: Ameghino - Tiro Federal 80-79

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Ameghino (14-7) edged 11th ranked Tiro Federal (9-14) in Villa Maria 80-79 on Monday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a very good performance for power forward Juan Luis Abeiro (200-88) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Swingman Jonatan Torresi (190-94) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Emiliano Correa (188-91) answered with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and forward Jonatan Basualdo (198-99) added 20 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Tiro Federal. Five Ameghino and four Tiro Federal players scored in double figures. Ameghino moved-up to second place, which they share with Estudiantes C. Tiro Federal lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. Ameghino will face Olimpico (#11) in Ceres in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tiro Federal will play at home against Dep Norte and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
