There was an upset when higher ranked Salta Basket (15-10) lost to fourteenth ranked Colon SF (7-14) in Santa Fe 66-82 on Tuesday. Colon SF looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Quite impressive performance for Cuban center Pedro Bombino (206-0, agency: Pro Sports) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Ignacio Fernandez (181-89, agency: BIG) contributed with 17 points and 7 assists for the winners. Point guard Nahuel Buchaillot (178-0) answered with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Nicolas Zurschmitten (183-95) added 8 points and 5 assists in the effort for Salta Basket. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Colon SF moved-up to twelfth place. Loser Salta Basket keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Colon SF will face higher ranked Estudiantes T. (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
