Leading Echague (18-9) recorded its ninth loss in Parana. Hosts were rolled over by fifth ranked Salta Basket (16-11) 101-70. Salta Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Echague's 30 and made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Echague 41-30 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Salta Basket especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Point guard Nicolas Zurschmitten (183-95) notched 20 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and Brazilian Andre Coimbra (205-86, college: CMU) supported him with 28 points (on 13-of-14 shooting from the field). Four Salta Basket players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds by forward Martin Chervo (200-92) did not help to save the game for Echague. Point guard Geronimo Rosso (187-0, agency: BIG) added 10 points and 4 assists for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Salta Basket maintains fifth position with 16-11 record. Echague at the other side dropped to the second place with nine games lost.
