There was a minor upset when their close opponent Lanus (12-10) was smashed by sixth ranked Quilmes MP (12-11) in Buenos Aires 94-61 on Tuesday. Quilmes MP dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Lanus' 38. The winners were led by American Tirrell Brown (198-93, college: OBU) who scored that evening 25 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Raul Pelorosso (178-94) supported him with 17 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Quilmes MP players scored in double figures. Even 10 points by American forward Justin Everett (206-96, college: Humboldt St.) did not help to save the game for Lanus. Mauricio Marin added 12 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Quilmes MP have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 12-11 record. Newly promoted Lanus dropped to the fourth place with ten games lost.
