The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Ambato: Caballeros (#4) and Importadora (#5). Caballeros (5-4) won against visiting Importadora (4-5) 80-68. Caballeros made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Caballeros outrebounded Importadora 55-39 including a 43-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Caballeros moved-up to third place. Importadora lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with five games lost. Caballeros are looking forward to face league's second-placed Punto Rojo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Importadora will play against the league's leader Piratas and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
