The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Lincoln as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Lincoln smashed bottom-ranked Usulutan R. in San Salvador 102-9. Lincoln held Usulutan R. to an opponent 10.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 42.9 percent accuracy of the winners and had 17 for 36 from the free-throw line, while Usulutan R. only scored one point from the stripe.
