There was a minor upset in Santa Tecla where 4th placed Salvadorenas (4-3) were defeated by seventh ranked Anfy (4-3) 48-34. Anfy held Salvadorenas to an opponent 17.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 28.3 percent accuracy of the winners. It was an exceptional evening for center Paola Ortiz (171-1) who led the winners and scored 4 points and 18 rebounds. Alejandra Menendez (175-0) accounted for 6 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Anfy's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Fatima Tejada (162-5) came up with 0 points and 17 rebounds and Keylin Murcia (161-3) added 12 points and 4 steals respectively for Salvadorenas in the defeat. Anfy moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Salvadorenas. Salvadorenas lost third consecutive game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
