Regular Season Round 3: San German - Fajardo 83-94

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in San German where Atleticos (2-2) were defeated by Cariduros (1-3) 94-83 on Friday. Cariduros made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Guillermo Diaz (188-85, college: Miami, FL) who scored 22 points and 4 assists. International forward Emmanuel Andujar (198-93, college: Manhattan) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American Paris Bass (203-95, college: Detroit) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Nigerian power forward Alade Aminu (207-87, college: Georgia Tech) added 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cariduros will meet at home Cangrejeros (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Atleticos will play against Gigantes in Carolina and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
