The game between closely ranked teams ended with Indios' (2-2) home loss to Cangrejeros (2-2) 77-86 on Saturday. Cangrejeros outrebounded Indios 47-32 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American Thomas Robinson (208-91, college: Kansas, agency: Network Sports International) who scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. The former international point guard J.J. Barea (183-84, college: Northeastern) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Five Cangrejeros players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American Brian Conklin (201-89, college: St.Louis) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import center Jessie Govan (211-97, college: Georgetown) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Indios' coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Cangrejeros will meet Cariduros (#6) in the next round. Indios will play against Brujos (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
