Liga Nacional top team - Universidad de Concepcion (14-3) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Quilicura (3-16) 97-54. They outrebounded Quilicura 55-34 including a 36-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Universidad de Concepcion looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Quilicura's players. The best player for the winners was the former international Evandro Arteaga (178-83) who scored 20 points. International Carlos Lauler (190-96) chipped in 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Jose Campos (189-80) produced 23 points and 4 assists and Heder Louis added 6 points and 14 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Universidad de Concepcion. They maintain first place with 14-3 record, which they share with Las Animas. Quilicura lost their thirteenth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 16 games lost. Universidad de Concepcion will meet league's second-placed Los Leones in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Quilicura will play against Puente Alto (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
