The biggest surprise took place in Santa Tecla where host Teclenas (7-3) beat league's leader San Marcos (10-1) 64-58 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of San Marcos. Teclenas had a 36-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Andrea Cristales (175-97) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Yashary Hernandez (170-99) chipped in 9 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Kenia Campos (172-86) who recorded 7 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and Adriana Moran (161-87) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively. San Marcos' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Teclenas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Salvadorenas. San Marcos at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Lincoln. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
