There was no surprise when 11th ranked Chilis (1-9) were crushed at home by seventh ranked Salvadorenas (7-3) 73-44 on Thursday. Salvadorenas dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Chilis' 28. Salvadorenas forced 24 Chilis turnovers. It was a great evening for forward Gabriela Alfaro (167-4) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Keylin Murcia (161-3) helped adding 16 points and 4 assists. Four Salvadorenas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Anna Laguan (157-5) with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Ana Ruiz (159-5) scored 11 points. Salvadorenas have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Teclenas. Chilis lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the eleventh position with nine games lost. Salvadorenas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Chilis will play against Usulutan R. (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
