It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Leones. Vaqueros players were unselfish on offense dishing 36 assists. Leones were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. International point guard Angel Rodriguez (180-92, college: Miami, FL, agency: Shark Sports Management) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side and international forward Benito Santiago (198-89, college: Cumberlands) accounted for 21 points. American-Ivorian center Deon Thompson (204-88, college: UNC, agency: BeoBasket) came up with 19 points and 6 rebounds and guard Luis Lopez (182-98, college: PR-Mayaguez, agency: Paris Global Sports) added 10 points and 5 assists respectively for Leones in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vaqueros have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 10-0 record. Leones at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Vaqueros will play against Atleticos (#6) in San German in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Leones will play at home against the league's second-placed Brujos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
