The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Gigantes' (4-6) road victory over bottom-ranked Grises (0-9) 101-90 on Saturday. Gigantes looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Ricky Ledo (201-92, college: Providence) fired 29 points and 7 assists for the winners. Point guard Diante Garrett (193-88, college: Iowa St., agency: Wasserman) chipped in 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Marcus Barham (196-96, college: FAMU) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and forward Jonathan Ocasio (195-92, college: New Haven) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Grises players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gigantes moved-up to third place, which they share with Guaynabo. Grises lost their ninth game in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost. Gigantes will meet Cangrejeros (#5) in the next round. Grises will play against Indios and hope to get finally their first victory.
