The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Quequeisque's (7-4) home loss to fourth ranked Salvadorenas (8-4) 53-68 on Thursday. Salvadorenas forced 21 Quequeisque turnovers. Strangely Quequeisque outrebounded Salvadorenas 40-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Quequeisque's players. The best player for the winners was Keylin Murcia (161-3) who scored 20 points, 8 assists and 5 steals. Forward Gabriela Alfaro (167-4) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Daniela Alonso (160-1) produced 16 points and 5 rebounds and Liliana Alvarado (170-97) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Salvadorenas. Despite that victory Salvadorenas went down to fifth position due to points difference. Loser Quequeisque dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with Anfy. Salvadorenas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Quequeisque will play against Se7en (#10) and hope to secure a win.
