Regular Season Round 5: Paulistano - LSB / B2B 68-55

Bottom-ranked Liga Sorocaba (0-3) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their third consecutive match to leader Paulistano (3-0) 68-55 on Friday evening. The best player for the winners was forward Arthur Bernardi (205-90, college: HBU) who scored 15 points. Point guard Felipe Ruivo (188-98) chipped in 10 points and 6 assists. Jose Mauro Barrozo (201-96) produced 5 points and 10 rebounds and Atilio Melo added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Paulistano have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Franca and Sao Paulo. Loser Liga Sorocaba still closes the standings with three games lost. Paulistano will meet at home Rio Claro (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Liga Sorocaba will have a break next round.
