Regular Season Round 7: U.Atletica - Verdirrojo 84-81

U.Atletica's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Verdirrojo (1-3) 84-81 on Saturday. U.Atletica forced 23 Verdirrojo turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Antonio Bivins (198-92, college: UMass Lowell) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 4 assists. Emilio Taboada (191-82) accounted for 22 points and 7 assists for the winning side. Guard Andres Dotti (180-93) came up with 28 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 6 steals and forward Martin Aguilera (195-87) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Verdirrojo in the defeat. Verdirrojo's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. U.Atletica left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Verdirrojo.
