No shocking result in a game in Santo Domingo where Caneros won against Leones 76-70 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Jaison Colome (190-96) who scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Jeromy Rodriguez (201-96, college: ETSU) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Juan Guerrero (205-93) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists and center Luis Santos (203-94, college: St.Louis) added 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks respectively for the hosts. Five Caneros and four Leones players scored in double figures. Leones' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Caneros will meet Huracanes in the next round. Leones will play against Metros in Santiago and hope to secure a win.
