An interesting game for Brujos (10-6) which hosted in Guayama 4th ranked Mets (4-9). Second ranked Brujos managed to get a 10-point victory 100-90. Brujos made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Brujos outrebounded Mets 39-25 including 31 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Ben McCauley (206-86, college: NC State) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Christopher Ortiz (203-93, college: Kent St., agency: Network Sports International) contributed with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five Brujos players scored in double figures. American-Dominican forward Angel Nunez (203-91, college: S.Florida) replied with 29 points and American point guard David Stockton (180-91, college: Gonzaga) added 21 points and 6 assists in the effort for Mets. Brujos maintains second position with 10-6 record having just two point less than leader Bayamon. Mets lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the fourth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Carolina. Brujos are looking forward to face Gigantes (#5) in Carolina in the next round. Mets will play on the road against Grises in Humacao and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
