Regular Season Round 3: Caneros - Metros 74-82

The biggest surprise of round 3 in LNB took place in La Romana where guest Metros (#1) beat Caneros (#2) by 8 points 82-74 on Tuesday evening. Metros made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was center Eloy Vargas (211-88, college: Kentucky, agency: Duran International) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds. American guard Ramon Galloway (190-91, college: La Salle) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Spanish center Jhonatan Araujo (208-96) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and American point guard Isaiah Swann (188-85, college: FSU) added 12 points and 7 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Metros are looking forward to face Reales (#8) in La Vega in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Caneros will play on the road against Indios (#6) in San Francisco and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
