Regular Season Round 3: Caneros - Titanes 99-101

A very close game took place in La Romana (derby !!!) between Titanes and Caneros. Titanes (3-4) got a very close victory on the road over Caneros (6-2). Titanes managed to escape with a 2-point win 101-99 on Friday evening. Titanes looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for naturalized American swingman Jayvian Delacruz (196, college: Pikeville) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points. Point guard Richard Bautista (187-97) helped adding 10 points, 8 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Four Titanes players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Jaison Colome (190-96) with 30 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Spanish center Jhonatan Araujo (208-96) scored 26 points. Caneros' coach Tony Ruiz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Titanes will meet at home Leones (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Caneros will play against Indios in San Francisco and hope to secure a win.
