Cacique D. has registered their first victory this season after two consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Chinandega, where they outplayed Tigres (0-3) 106-74 on Saturday. Cacique D. dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Tigres' 26. They outrebounded Tigres 43-25 including 32 on the offensive glass. Cacique D. looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Tigres' players. Forward Jeremy Agosto fired a double-double by scoring 17 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners. Dominican forward Xavier de la Rosa (196-91) chipped in 29 points and 5 steals. Four Cacique D. players scored in double figures. Jose Ortiz produced 24 points (made all of his eight free throws) and Kerling Meza added 4 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cacique D. maintains seventh position with 1-2 record. It was Tigres' third loss in a row. They still close the standings with three games lost.
