Regular Season Round 3: Aguada - Malvin 61-69

There was an upset when Aguada (1-2) was defeated at home by Malvin (1-1) 69-61 on Sunday. Malvin forced 26 Aguada turnovers and outrebounded them 47-36 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Aguada's players. The best player for the winners was Florencia Somma (175-88) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Carolina Fernandez chipped in 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Colombian forward Kelly Orejuela (-93) who recorded 32 points and 5 rebounds and Costa Rican Sofia Herrera added 9 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
