An interesting game for Vaqueros (15-0) which played road game in Guaynabo against 4th placed Mets (5-10). Leader Vaqueros managed to get a 7-point victory 88-81. International point guard Angel Rodriguez (180-92, college: Miami, FL, agency: Shark Sports Management) nailed 34 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and Cuban center Ismael Romero (205-91, agency: Paris Global Sports) accounted for 12 points and 15 rebounds. Five Vaqueros players scored in double figures. American point guard David Stockton (180-91, college: Gonzaga) came up with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Panamanian forward Tony Bishop (201-89, college: Texas St., agency: 011 Sports) added 18 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Mets in the defeat. Mets' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vaqueros have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 15-0 record. Newly promoted Mets keep the fourth position with ten games lost. Vaqueros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Mets will play against Leones (#3) in Juana Diaz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
