Franca outrebounded Sao Jose 56-38 including a 25-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. Point guard Adyel Pereira (188-2) stepped up and scored 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and international power forward Marcio Santos (204-2) chipped in 12 points and 15 rebounds. At the losing side center Joao Moda (204-1) responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Gustavo Marcolino (177-2) scored 6 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Franca moved-up to second place, which they share with Corinthians and Sao Paulo. Sao Jose lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with three games lost. Franca's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Sao Paulo to the arena Sao Paulo.
