We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Montevideo where 9th ranked 25 de Agosto (2-4) was defeated by tenth ranked Danubio (3-4) 82-76 on Friday. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian forward Martin Chervo (200-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and guard Angel Varela (188-87) who added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Danubio players scored in double figures. Danubio's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was point guard Lucas Capalbo (175-0, college: Odessa JC) with 27 points and 4 assists and point guard Brian Garcia (182-90) scored 19 points. Danubio moved-up to seventh place, which they share with U.Atletica and Verdirrojo. 25 de Agosto lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Danubio's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena U.Atletica.
