Regular Season Round 14: Sao Paulo - Franca 61-63

The biggest surprise of round 14 was guest Franca's (#2) road victory over Sao Paulo (#3) 63-61 on Friday evening. Franca forced 25 Sao Paulo turnovers. The best player for the winners was international power forward Marcio Santos (204-2) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Reynan Santos (192-4) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Matheus Eugeniusz (192-0) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds and forward Rafael Santos (200-99) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Franca maintains second position with 8-1 record behind leader Pinheiros. Sao Paulo at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Corinthians. Franca are looking forward to face Pato (#11) in Pato Branco in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sao Paulo's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Sao Paulo Paulistano.
