Regular Season Round 15: Sao Jose - Corinthians 71-78

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Corinthians (8-2) beat on the road 5th ranked Sao Jose (6-4) 78-71 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Pedro Nunes (197-0) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Ludwig Agustinho (202-1) accounted for 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Center Joao Moda (204-1) came up with 29 points and 8 rebounds and Pedro Pereira (190-1) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Sao Jose in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Corinthians maintains third place with 8-2 record having just two points less than leader Pinheiros. Loser Sao Jose keeps the fifth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
