Regular Season Round 15: UniFacisa - Minas 56-93

Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Minas (3-3) rolled over 10th ranked UniFacisa (1-5) in Paraiba 93-56 on Monday. Minas forced 29 UniFacisa turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for forward Augusto Alcassa (201-0) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 18 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). International forward Gui Santos (197-2) accounted for 22 points for the winning side. Four Minas players scored in double figures. Ivan Neto (196-2) came up with 13 points and 8 rebounds and center Luan Ribeiro (205-3) added 12 points respectively for UniFacisa in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Minas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Flamengo and Praia. Loser UniFacisa dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. They share it with Brasilia. Minas will meet at home Cearense (#11) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. UniFacisa will play against Brasilia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
