Lincoln fired past Anfy in the opener. Lincoln held Anfy to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.6 percent accuracy of the winners. Lincoln forced 21 Anfy turnovers. It was a very good performance for Adriana Rivas (176-96) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 7 rebounds. Allison Franco (175-2) contributed with 8 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized American Emily Tevez (178-93, college: NDN) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and Alejandra Menendez (175-0) added 6 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Anfy. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
