Indigenas' fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Tigres (0-6) 92-76 on Thursday. Indigenas made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Indigenas outrebounded Tigres 58-35 including a 40-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Puerto Rican point guard Christian Lopez (183-95) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his twelve free throws !!!). American center James Edmond Jr (203-91, college: Lincoln, MO) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Jose Ortiz replied with 37 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and American Quincy Scates (198-89, college: TWU) added 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Tigres. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Indigenas maintains eighth position with 1-5 record. It was Tigres' sixth loss in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
