Regular Season Round 28: Guaynabo - Bayamon 102-100

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Vaqueros (15-1) in Guaynabo on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by fourth ranked Mets (10-12) 102-100. It ended at the same time the 15-game winning streak of Vaqueros. Mets looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard David Stockton (180-91, college: Gonzaga) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists and naturalized Polish point guard Francis Han (185-87, college: Fairfield) who added 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side international point guard Angel Rodriguez (180-92, college: Miami, FL, agency: Shark Sports Management) responded with 28 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and Cuban center Ismael Romero (205-91, agency: Paris Global Sports) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Five Mets and four Vaqueros players scored in double figures. Vaqueros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Mets maintains fourth position with 10-12 record. Defending champion Vaqueros still keep top place with one game lost. Mets will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Vaqueros will play on the road against Indios in Mayaguez and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
