Regular Season Round 6: Reales - Caneros 99-82

The most important game in the last round took place in La Vega between second ranked Caneros (8-5) and seventh ranked Reales (5-7) on Tuesday night. Caneros were defeated by Reales on the road 99-82. Reales looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Raphiael Putney (207-90, college: UMass) who scored 36 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field). Nigerian-American George Williams (198-90, college: WBU) chipped in 23 points. Williams is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Reales' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Isaiah Swann (188-85, college: FSU) who recorded 24 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Jeff Allen (201-87, college: Virginia Tech) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Reales moved-up to sixth place. Caneros lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with five games lost. They share it with Leones.
