The game in Carolina supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Brujos (15-8) played at the court of 5th ranked Gigantes (5-16). Brujos smashed Gigantes 91-65 on Thursday. Brujos looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Gigantes' players. The former international forward Christopher Ortiz (203-93, college: Kent St.) stepped up and scored 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and American guard Terrico White (196-90, college: Ole Miss, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 17 points. Naturalized American power forward Julian Torres (206-97, college: LSUA) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds and international forward Derek Reese (203-93, college: Tennessee) scored 5 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Brujos maintains second place with 15-8 record having just three point less than leader Bayamon. Loser Gigantes keep the fifth position with 16 games lost. Brujos will meet at home league's leader Capitanes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gigantes will play against Cangrejeros (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
