There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Miramar (3-7) edged 9th ranked Cordon (4-6) in Montevideo 65-62 on Monday. The winners were led by Sebastian Ottonello (195-97) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and guard Joaquin Nunez (189-2) supported him with 20 points. Even 19 points and 6 assists by point guard Diego Alvarez (180-90) did not help to save the game for Cordon. The former international forward Octavio Medina (195-96) added 15 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Miramar maintains twelfth position with 3-7 record. Cordon lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with six games lost. They share the position with Tabare. Miramar will meet at home league's leader Sayago in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Cordon's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena 25 de Agosto.
