The biggest surprise of round 4 was guest Halcones' (2-2) road victory over Caballos (#6) 88-78 on Monday evening. Naturalized Chilean guard Eugenio Luzcando (187-95, college: Idaho St.) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American guard Logan Santiago (185, college: AIC) chipped in 26 points. Five Halcones players scored in double figures. Halcones' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international Josimar Ayarza (205-87, college: Southern Miss) produced a double-double by scoring 32 points and 13 rebounds and Jose Montenegro (191-98) added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists respectively for lost side. Halcones moved-up to fourth place. Defending champion Caballos keep the sixth position with three games lost. Halcones' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Panama City to the arena Panteras.
