There was a minor upset when one of their biggest challengers Colon (5-5) lost at home to seventh ranked Danubio (5-5) 76-72 on Tuesday. The winners were led by Argentinian forward Martin Chervo (200-92) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Matias Nicoletti (193-94) supported him with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 18 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals by forward Emiliano Gonzalez (201-88) did not help to save the game for Colon. Point guard Martin Trelles (187-96) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Four Colon players scored in double figures. Danubio moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Colon. Danubio's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo L.Borges.
