Regular Season Round 2: Correcaminos - Atletico 77-66

Correcaminos defeated Atletico in Colon 77-66. 29 personal fouls committed by Atletico helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Ecuadorian power forward Liliana Angulo (183-90) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Colombian forward Mabel Martinez (180-86) contributed with 31 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Tayina Ellis (-84) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and Venezuelan point guard Nathaly Malpica (161) added 22 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) in the effort for Atletico. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Atletico will play next round against strong Panteras trying to get back on the winning streak. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Panama City - Panteras. Correcaminos will try to continue on its current victory against Aguilas in Panama City.
