Rather expected game in Santurce where 6th ranked Grises (1-20) were defeated by third ranked Cangrejeros (12-10) 100-90 on Thursday. Cangrejeros looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Cangrejeros made 7 blocks. The former international point guard Denis Clemente (183-86, college: Kansas St.) fired 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American Thomas Robinson (208-91, college: Kansas, agency: Network Sports International) chipped in 19 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Cangrejeros' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
