This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 3rd placed UAM (4-6) to second ranked Real Esteli (8-4) 70-69 in the game for the second place. Real Esteli looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Ashton Millender (173, college: DePaul) who led her team to a victory scoring 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. The former international center Jenny Salomon helped adding 11 points and 14 rebounds. Real Esteli's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Honduran forward Nelly Rapalo (-99) responded with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international forward Kenia Chamorro scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Real Esteli have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 8-4 record behind leader No Fear. UAM lost fourth consecutive game. Defending champion keeps the third position with six games lost.
